Caledon Public Library recently held its first ever Patron Picks, where our library users voted on their favourite books that they read during 2015. We got a great list, with the top two stand-out titles being Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins and Girl with Seven Names by Hyeonseo Lee.
Its always fun to know what your neighbours and friends are reading, so check out the full list on our Caledon Public Library website by visiting www.caledon.library.on.ca and typing “Patron Picks” into the search bar, or you can view the list now by clicking on this link: Patron Picks. How many have you already read? Maybe you see something new that looks interesting? Come to one of the Caledon Public Library branches to check it out today!
A big congratulations to our draw winner, Diane van Ingen! Diane enjoys reading the No.1 Ladies Detective Agency series written by Alexander McCall Smith. This is a fantastic series set in Botswana, which follows the life of Precious Ramotswe and her associate, Grace Matsuki, as they confront and solve the daily mysteries found in people’s lives in the city of Gabarone. At the same time, the simple truths about people, relationships and life are also revealed. These books contain charming, quick stories that leave the reader with a smile on their face and a desire to know exactly what adventures Precious will be involved in next.
