Philosophy: Sources, Perspectives, and Methodologies

This resource is geared towards undergraduate college students but can be used as a reference source for high school students or for anyone interested in philosophy. It is written in a style that can be easily understood by those who have not previously studied philosophy.  The content serves as an introduction to philosophy from Socrates to the various philosophical traditions, as well as introducing the subfields of philosophy, including environmental ethics and medical ethics.  This resource will appeal to students as it uses “film, literature, and art,” to explore human experience and the questions raised by philosophers. This resource also offers the option to download an MP3 edition of the content.  To access this resource simply click on the link Caledon Public Library’s digital resources page.
